By Air:
The nearest airports are Malaga (AGP) and Jerez (MAN). Málaga is about 160km northwest of Tarifa and has good connections via car or bus.

Jerez de la Frontera is about 113km northeast of Tarifa and has good road links, although if traveling by public transport you will have to change buses in Cadiz or Algeciras.

By Car:
From Malaga:
Leave Malaga airport in the direction of Cadiz. Once on the dual carriage way take the immediate exit signposted Algeciras / Cádiz taking you onto the N340. This then merges with the A7. Once on the A7 you can choose between the “normal” A7 or the AP7 motorway. The AP7 is faster, but has tolls. At Estepona the AP7 automatically merges with the A7. Continue on the A7 until Algeciras. Once in Algeciras, continue straight ahead, following the signs for TARIFA. Leaving Algeciras the road automatically merges into the N340. Coming towards Tarifa take the first exit and continue straight into Tarifa town to the traffic lights. Here, turn right on the street off BATALLA DEL SALADO. Then take the SECOND street on the right onto ANTONIO MAURA. There you should see our hostal.

From Jerez:
Leave Jerez airport, in the direction of Cadiz. You should find yourself on the A4 that borders the city of Jerez. Continue towards Cadiz. When you get to the industrial estate Tres Caminos, which is shortly after Puerto Real and just before San Fernando the A4 ends. Here choose the A48 to ALGECIRAS (No longer go in the direction to Cadiz!). Continue on the A48 to Vejer de la Frontera which automatically becomes the N340 to Tarifa. Take the first exit to Tarifa and continue straight ahead along the main street, BATALLA DEL SALADO. Counting from the gas station, take the ninth street LEFT: just on the corner there’s a real estate TARIFA CASAS. You should find yourself on the street called ANTONIO MAURA from where you can see our hostel.

Public transport:
Due to changes in timetables, unfortunately we can not give more detail, but for specific queries and connections with other cities we’re happy to help.

Algeciras: Between Tarifa and Algeciras there are several buses daily, usually every 90 minutes. The journey takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
The company operating is COMES www.tgcomes.es

Malaga: Between Malaga and Tarifa there are several buses per day. The journey takes between 2 ½ to 4 hours, depending on the bus. Between Algeciras and Malaga there are much more and a few that are directly from the Airport. Companies operating COMES www.tgcomes.es and PORTILLO www.portillo.avanzabus.com

Jerez de la Frontera: The Jerez connection is difficult, there is only one bus a day from the”Sevilla”. This is the route to “La Linea de la Concepcion” which takes in Tarifa and Jerez. This bus company here is COMES www.tgcomes.es .
If you detour to Cadiz or Algeciras, you can take a bus and change.
Tarifa-Algeciras: COMES www.tgcomes.es or
Jerez-Algeciras: Linesur www.activagest.com

By ferry (from Morocco):
There is a Tarifa connection from Tangier every hour by two ferry companies. The journey takes about an hour. The Port of Tarifa is just off the old town square, in front of the “Alameda” where you’ll also find the tourist office. With very strong winds or bad weather, sometimes the port of Tarifa is closed. On these occasions the closest connection is Algeciras.
